We were AuPairs too

We’ve been there. We empathize with and understand the challenges of being in a foreign country, navigating an unfamiliar language, and lacking support networks to access crucial information about your new environment.

We've learned through our experiences that there are resources available for AuPairs in Austria, that protect them from precarious situations. We hope to make this information more accessible to AuPairs, so they do not need to rely on the good will of their host families, but can be empowered and informed about the rights available to them.

Our co-founders met while they were AuPairs in Lower Austria. They often talked about the struggles they witnessed other AuPairs experiencing and wondered what they could do to improve the situation for AuPairs in Austria and gain more visibility on the subject.

The two of them started AuPair-Repair as a project for the WIENWOCHE 2023 and were motivated to continue working towards empowerment and visibility for AuPairs.

Since January 2024 we are an official association in Austria! We continue to grow and are very happy to talk to current or former AuPairs about how they could get involved with us.
